Walking Together for Mental Health Awareness

The Glenn Project at NAMIWalks Charlotte | May 16, 2026

Mental health affects every family, every community, and every stage of life. On May 16, 2026, The Glenn Project proudly participated in NAMIWalks Charlotte, joining advocates, families, mental health professionals, and community organizations committed to creating a world where no one faces mental health challenges alone.

Held during Mental Health Awareness Month, NAMIWalks brings people together to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and connect individuals with the support and resources they need. Across the country, events like these help foster understanding, encourage conversations, and remind people that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Throughout the event, our team had the opportunity to meet community members, share information about The Glenn Project, and listen to stories of resilience, hope, and recovery.

One of the most meaningful aspects of the day was witnessing the power of connection. Mental health conversations can often feel difficult to begin, yet events like NAMIWalks create a welcoming environment where people feel seen, heard, and supported. Walking together serves as a reminder that community plays an important role in mental wellness and recovery.

One of the most inspiring aspects of the event was seeing people from all walks of life come together around a common message: mental health matters. Every conversation, every shared story, and every step taken during the walk reinforced the importance of continuing this work.

We are grateful to NAMI Charlotte for organizing such an impactful event and to everyone who stopped by our table to learn more about The Glenn Project.

As we continue our mission, we remain committed to starting conversations, building connections, and ensuring that individuals and families know they are not alone on their mental health journey.

Together, we can create a future where seeking help is met with understanding, compassion, and hope.
